panel air filter

Panel Air Filters are filters used in air purification equipment, widely applied in various air conditioning systems and industrial equipment. These filters are typically designed to be compact and effectively remove particulates and other pollutants from the air, thereby improving air quality.

Panel Air Filters can be used as pre-filters or main filters. They are commonly used in applications with limited space and can extend the service life of subsequent filters. These filters feature a self-sealing design to prevent air bypass, and their frames are typically made of galvanized steel or other corrosion-resistant materials to ensure durability and moisture resistance. The efficiency range of panel filters is broad, from low-efficiency G4 to high-efficiency F9, suitable for different application needs.

Material

Glass Fiber

This material is often used to make high-efficiency filters, known for its good stability, high particle removal rate, and high flow capacity.

Synthetic Fibers

Including polyester fibers, polypropylene, etc., these materials are typically used for medium-efficiency filters, which have a large dust holding capacity and stable performance.

Cotton and Synthetic Fiber Blends

This blended material is often used for medium-efficiency filters, offering good filtration performance and structural stability.

Activated Carbon Fiber

This material is mainly used to adsorb odors and harmful gases, such as synthetic fiber activated carbon soaked in coconut shells.

Typical size-resolved removal efficiency curves for new (clean) fibrous media air filters rated by the MERV metric as tested in reported in Azimi et al. (2014). Antimicrobial Properties

The antimicrobial characteristics of panel air filters are achieved through the integrated application of various materials and technologies, including nanomaterials, biocides, quaternary ammonium salts, silver ion treatments, polyimide fiber felts, cellulose derivatives, activated carbon materials, and aerosol-based methods.
