HEPA Cabin Air Filter
HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters are high-efficiency filtration systems designed to filter out minute particles in the air, and they are widely used in cabin air filtration for vehicles and airplanes. These filters are capable of capturing various minute particles including pollen, dust, bacteria, and viruses, with a filtration efficiency typically exceeding 99.97%, particularly outstanding in filtering particles sized at 0.3 micrometers.
Working Principle
Inertial Impaction:Larger particles directly collide with and are intercepted by the fiber mesh due to inertia.
Diffusion: Smaller particles undergo random motion among fibers due to Brownian motion and are ultimately captured.
Interception: Particles are directly intercepted by the fibers.
Sieving: Particles are blocked because their size is larger than the fiber gaps.
Van der Waals Force: There is a mutual attractive force between the molecules on the surface of activated carbon and harmful gas molecules, similar to magnetism. Due to the large number of molecules on the surface of activated carbon, a powerful attractive force can be generated, drawing harmful gas molecules into its pores. This adsorption process is mainly physical adsorption, where harmful gas molecules attach to the surface of activated carbon through weak intermolecular forces (such as Van der Waals forces)
Removal Efficiency
